Early Years and Start of Entrepreneurship
Kevin Hart grew up in Youngstown, Ohio, a former steel town known for its blue-collar roots. His family relocated to Dallas, Texas, when Kevin was young due to his father’s work in management consulting. It was in fifth grade that Kevin’s entrepreneurial spirit first emerged, when he expressed a desire to attend space camp. Encouraged by his family to earn the money himself, Kevin launched his first business, "Kevin's Curbs," where he painted house numbers on curbs. This venture not only made enough to fund his desired trip but also taught him invaluable lessons in sales, marketing, and perfecting the art of the elevator pitch through door-to-door interactions.

Success with Kevin's Curbs fueled his passion for entrepreneurship, and from an early age, Kevin also nurtured a deep interest in design. By middle school, he had mastered Adobe Creative Suite programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects. This proficiency led him to start another venture, "Clocks in a Box," where he designed custom clock faces, sold them on eBay, and fulfilled orders on demand, managing a high-margin, zero-overhead business model that showcased both his creativity and business savvy.

In high school, Kevin turned his focus to apparel design, creating custom T-shirts and selling them locally. When the company he partnered with declined to work with further with a teen, Kevin used his earnings to purchase his own screen-printing and embroidery equipment, teaching himself how to operate the machinery and expanding his offerings. This venture grew into two subsidiary companies: MercyPrint.com, which catered to churches and charitable organizations, and FratPrint.com, which targeted fraternities and sororities. Although both companies offered similar products and services, Kevin smartly differentiated them through brand positioning to better serve each unique customer base.

Kevin continued to scale and refine his ventures throughout high school and beyond, eventually selling parts of the businesses, gaining valuable insights into scaling operations, managing diverse service offerings, and the value of balancing manual labor with creative and technological solutions. His formal education at the University of Texas at Dallas, where he studied Business, Psychology, and Neuroscience, further deepened his understanding of business strategy and human behavior, skills he would go on to apply to both his own companies and in his professional work with some of the world’s largest brands.
This blend of creativity, technical skills, and business acumen has shaped Kevin's career, where he continues to push boundaries in design, technology, and entrepreneurship
